A successful local financial services company in a small town – Wet Mountain Tribune

When financial advisors Barb and Ron Beckner opened Peaks Integrity Wealth Management, LLC, they certainly emphasized “local” in their local business. Local, personal and direct contact with customers is essential to conducting their business and serving their customers. Ron notes that “Our focus for business is relationships,” and Barb adds, “We’re on the same side of life as our customers, and we support them; we care about them!

Both Beckners have been professionally engaged in the world of finance and financial services for many years. Barb started in Florida, then moved to New York before coming to Colorado two decades ago. Ron brings years of “working class American” experience to his professional position. A third generation pipe fitter/welder, Ron served 4 years in the US Navy, 4 years in the US Coast Guard, completing his military career with 16 years in the Naval Reserve for a total of 24 years.

While working full time, he earned his degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, Honolulu, Hawaii. Returning to Colorado from Hawaii, after working for the Navy Department at Pearl Harbor, Ron was a Pueblo-based financial advisor, and Barb followed in the same capacity from Florence.
They had a hunch, followed it, and found that their intuitive and creative vision to serve Custer County with their talents and ideas combined in an intimate Westcliffe office held firm.
“Our mission is to be a resource for our community,” Barb emphasizes, and Ron sums up that perspective by saying, “We’re open and free to information,” also referencing their practice of holding free consultative conversations.

Beckner’s approach to financial management services is holistic. Specifically, money management for Peaks Integrity includes insight not only into ordinary matters of investing and stewardship, but also into tailoring each client’s financial plan in an educational and caring environment.
Barb and Ron provide a Financial Star process that includes, RTime®, Budgeting/Revenue/Expenses/Taxes, Goals, Protection and Legacy. This process is used to inform clients of resources that can provide legal and tax structures, while supporting family and personal values. As licensed insurance professionals, they also focus on protection with life, annuities, long term care and disability.
The Beckners agree that in the financial world, which is active 24/7, they cannot provide adequate services by “merely” being financial advisors, hence the holistic and team approach. to educate, refer and recommend as well.

Ron hopes to see the principles and vision he and Barb bring to their professionalism in print: the book he has written and is refining for publication in 2022 is titled A Celestial Guide to Becoming a Financial Star: A Financial Strategy and Blueprint for working class Americans. He talks about a paradigm shift in financial matters; no longer perceived as the esoteric domain of specialists, the world of finance is accessible to working-class people who need not be mystified by difficult-to-understand topics. “These questions,” says Ron, “are not a secret, they just haven’t been shared.” And, as stated before, share what they do at Peaks Integrity.

Their offices on the corner of Hermit Road and Highway 69, Westcliffe are already buzzing with all the amenities of a regular city financial management office – only without steel, chrome, marble and glass, and the often impersonal environment of the profession. . Behind dual computer screens lit by the latest financial market information are two warm, relaxed and caring people who are dedicated to their craft, their clients and their own well-being.

Happy to recognize themselves as “ordinary people”, caring for aging family members at home, caring for ranch animals, engaged with the annual PRCA Rodeo, Wet Mountain Saddle Club and Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts, the Beckners note that “Treating yourself well is treating others well!” People here are generally respectful. You need us, you call us; we will come back !

A successful local business is good news in every respect; may Ron and Barb continue their vision and service for years to come.
