James V. Brown Library Announces January Children’s Program List | Education

Williamsport – Early learning opportunities for children are available at local libraries, providing opportunities to improve communication with other children, expand language skills, or just enjoy a fun social activity.

The James V. Brown Library regularly offers fun and educational programming for students of all ages. Access to educational games – like the programs offered at the library – gives students the opportunity to learn languages, science, math, technology and more.

Children who are actively engaged in learning become engaged citizens. The library supports the statewide PA Forward initiative, which estimates that when Pennsylvania residents improve their proficiency in five types of literacy – basic, informational, civic and social, health and financial – they can achieve more success as students, parents, employees, consumers, as citizens.

Libraries are community centers of information, technology and learning that will fuel educational and economic opportunities for all citizens.

Registration is suggested for in-person programs due to offer limitations. Registration is available at calendar.jvbrown.edu or by calling (570) 326-0536.
