LIVERPOOL – Old friends will return and new faces will be welcomed as a new season of programming knocks on the doors of the Liverpool Public Library.
The community can find familiar LPL favorites by browsing the programming guide pages for September and October. And to celebrate National Library Card Enrollment Month, anyone aged 5 and over who registers for an LPL card throughout the month of September by stopping at the Information @ LPL office or by going to lpl.org/explore/librarycardsignup/ will be eligible to win a prize in our drawing.
Popular returning guests to the LPL include:
UFO experts and writers Cheryl and Linda Costa will host UFOs in United States: The Big Picture at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 9 in the Carman Community Hall. The pair who wrote “UFO Sightings Desk Reference: United States of America 2001-2020” will be talking about stats, maps, and more on a hot topic.
Representatives from the Bonsai Club of Central New York will bring some of their finest specimens and stand in the Carman Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 14 and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, for their Bonsai Show. . Interested customers can also ask questions about starting and maintaining the beautiful little trees.
Jeff Ludwig, director of education at the William Seward House Museum in Auburn, returns to talk about the importance of the former popular secretary of state in history to William Seward Circumnavigates the Globe. At 7 p.m. Thursday, September 23, in the Carman Community Hall.

Mr. G added a slew of in-person technical support appointments over the next two months. He is available to speak one-on-one in the Collaborate @ LPL room at various times Monday through Saturday. Appointments should be made on the events page linked above.
Mr. G is also involved in more than technology. His new events this programming period include the Preparing with the End in Mind series. Funeral Director Patricia Knight Scholl will help clients prepare for what is coming for everyone at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 20, for the first session. Financial Advisor Karin Sloan DeLaney will speak on Trusts, Wills and more at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 18. Both sessions will take place in the Sargent meeting room, registration is required on the events page.
