Supercomputer predicts worrying outlook for future Manchester United transfer plans

Manchester United will miss both the Champions League and the Europa League as they would have to settle for the UEFA Europa Conference League, a supercomputer has predicted.

United’s pre-season hopes of challenging for the Premier League title have been dashed after a two-month slump saw them drift away from title contention and found themselves with the difficult task of salvaging a position in the top four.

A Champions League spot isn’t out of the question for Ralf Rangnick’s side as their win over Brentford in midweek took them within two points of West Ham, who currently sit fourth in the table of the Premier League.

Supercomputer predicts that Tottenham, currently one point ahead, will snatch the final spot in Europe’s elite competition.

Surprisingly, West Ham suffer another blow and fall on the board behind the Reds as they continue their Europa League quest.

With Man City in a seemingly unassailable position, they should be crowned champions at the end of the season.

Despite Watford’s best efforts in the January transfer window, it was said they would fail to beat the drop and return to the Championship with Norwich.

Burnley’s time in the Premier League is also set to come to an end as Sean Dyche’s side currently sit at the foot of the table.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are expected to do the unthinkable and survive the fall, although they are currently in the bottom three with just one win so far this season.

The supercomputer’s prediction paints a worrying prospect for United as they head for a change of guard this summer, and the next permanent manager will have to rethink his transfer options if the Reds miss out on the top four – with a midfield addition the priority.
